Pastor Isaiah Hunter was born into a legacy of ministry, raised in Henderson, NC, by devoted ministering parents. His faith journey began at Ilong Baptist Church and deepened when he moved to Wilmington to attend UNCW. There, he earned his bachelor’s degree and joined New Beginning Christian Church in 2001—initially serving as the church musician.

Ordained in 2011, Pastor Hunter has faithfully led in over 20 departments. His unwavering dedication led to his appointment as Assistant Pastor in 2023 and his installation as Pastor in December 2024.

Known for his practical teaching and heart for spiritual growth, Pastor Hunter’s mission is to help others thrive—spiritually, emotionally, and purposefully. Under this year’s theme, “THRIVE,” he encourages the church to live Hebrews 12:1 out loud.

He and his wife, Alexia, share a love for faith, family, and building legacy alongside their three accomplished children.

First Lady Alexia Hunter is a compassionate and devoted leader with a heart for ministry, community, and family. As the loving wife of Pastor Isaiah Hunter for over 20 years and proud mother of Isaiah II, Saniyah, and David, she embodies grace, strength, and unwavering faith.

With a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, she brings deep professional experience in advocacy, education, and emotional support to individuals and families. Her work in community outreach and prevention reflects her passion for creating safe, thriving environments.

At New Beginning Christian Church, First Lady Alexia blends her calling with her career, using both to uplift others spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Known for her warmth, wisdom, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, she continues to be a source of encouragement, hope, and healing to the entire church family.
